While it can be argued that Geekbench is an Intel skewed test, it is undeniable that it can offer a lot of interesting comparisons when comparing new product generations. Here we can see AMD's new Raven Ridge CPUs surpass their last generation counterparts in both Single-Threaded and Multi-Threaded workloads, with the 2200G and 2400G offering 300 point advantages over the 1200 and 1400 respectively.
When compared to the Athlon 860K, which is effectively an A10 7850K APU with disabled iGPU, the Ryzen 2000G series offers a staggering boost in CPU performance, delivering a single-threaded performance boost of around 60%. These results show how far AMD has come since the release of Kaveri, which is arguably the last time AMD took APUs seriously in the desktop market.
