AMD FX8150 CPU Review

AMD FX8150 CPU Review

The Heaven Benchmark from Unigine is a stronger test of the graphics card than it is the processor, but once again in both zero AA and 8xAA scenarios the FX8150 is woefully short of horsepower. This is getting quite embarrassing.

Extra image quality doesn't lessen the pounding. If this was a boxing match we think a towel might be thrown in about now.

I was secretly hoping AMD could pull it out and get one over intel. Shame. This is like watching the pentium 4 all over again. On paper faster, but in reality slower and much hotter running. Oh well, Sandy Bridge E for me Quote

I didn't think it would be good, considering the 125W TDP instead of 140W and the low asking price of $250. SB-E all the way. I'm glad I didn't invest much into an AM3+ board (I got an AM3 board). Hopefully, we'll see some competition between the 8150 and the i5-2500K, price wise (may go 1155, IDK).Quote
