Up Close: Assembled with Fan
The Silver Arrow ITX comes with a single red bladed fan. Although to all intents and purposes this is a 140mm fan it actually measures 152x140x26.5mm (LxHxW). These bespoke measurements cause it to fit nice and snug between the twin towers without too much of it bulging out the top, bottom or sides. The fan is held in place by the old fashioned spring clip method, which let's be honest is a bit of a pain and not very in keeping with the quality exhibited in the rest of the product.
A fair amount of jiggling sees us get the fan in place, although there were a few moments when we could easily have scratched that stunning Nickel finish. The fan itself is PWM and operates between 300 and 1300 RPM. It's given max airflow is 61.7CFM with a max noise of 24.9dB(A). We can't help but keep wondering though why Thermalright chose a red bladed fan as opposed to an all black or dark coloured unit.
