Installation
I’m going to be using my spare rig to test this heatsink, so it should be simple to install as it’s in a relitively roomy case with a motherboard that has a good layout. Before installing the new heatsink, I cleaned off the IHS of the CPU and applied a nice large blob of Arctic Silver Ceramique, to ensure good contact with the CPU.Â

Lookin good! Now lets fire it up and test it out. But wait, did I forget to plug in the fan? It’s not spinning when I turn the PC on. Nope, it’s plugged in. Hmm.. let’s try a molex adapter. Nope, still not spinning. The fan is dead!! Time to improvise.
Zip ties fix all. I’ve zip-tied a low-speed 80MM fan onto the heatsink. Not lookin’ good for Sunbeam, thus far. I guess we’ll have to let performance decide the final verdict though, so lets see how it does!
