SilverStone Tundra Slim Review

As usual we're using our 2011 rig inside the excellent CoolerMaster Test Trooper.  Man has this case seen some coolers!  As usual with 2011 there's no back plate, but should you be using any other Intel or AMD platform there's universal back plate included

With the stand offs attached it's time to slip the cold plate with its mounting bracket over the top.  To be honest, we had a bit of trouble getting it to slide on nicely, as if one of the pegs wasn't quite straight.  Having checked nothing was cross threaded we tried again with the same result.  in the end after a bit more gentle brute force we heard the plate grate down the thread of the pegs.  Having satisfied ourselves that all was good we screwed down the spring tensioned thumb bolts, attached the power cables and fired the rig up to commence torture testing.

I see they have lessened the quality and build of this (and thus looks) but at the price they're charging it's fair enough.

This could be very enticing for ITX users Quote

I have the original (fat) TD02 and it's doing a great job cooling my i7-4790K.

If I needed a slim, I would get this one based on the performance and reliability of the TD02.Quote
