Introduction
Those of you who know your Silverstone lineage will know that as a rule, for every Raven, or RV case there's a corresponding Fortress or FT case. Most usually based on the same chassis, but perhaps with the odd refinement here and there. It was no surprise to us then on opening up the FT05 that it bore more than a passing resemblance to the RV05 we looked at back in what was only July of this year. The RV05 priced at just £82 impressed us immensely, especially when considering the price, with our closing remarks in the review being that we couldn't wait to see the FT05. We didn't have to wait long though as it's only been a few short months for us to wait until the Fortress version arrived, with the review sample we have being the black windowless version we can only best describe it as a black monolith of a case. Silver versions are available as are windowed side panel versions so in all there's four variants to choose from. At £136 though it's not cheap, so let's hope it measures up.
