Cooling

With 167mm of headroom, the Havik 120 we use as a comparison cooler fits just fine.  We do though suspect you’re keen to see how the rads fit in.

We’ve left the 3.5″ drive cage out for this bit, but with 50mm of space available it’s be easy to set up a slimmish rad in push pull or a thick rad with just the installed front fans in the front panel providing air flow.  Here we’ve used our 240mm rad as an example, but the MasterBox5 will also accept a 280 in this position.

If you look at CoolerMasters own specs for the case you’ll notice that they don’t quote compatibility with 360mm radiators.  Delve deeper into their web page on the link above though and you will indeed see that the case will take either a 280mm in front, or even a 360 in the front.  With oodles of space before you reach the motherboard we can’t think of a rad you couldn’t get in here in push pull.  Hell there’s even room for reservoirs and pumps.  and let’s be honest, with a massive rad in the front, you’re not even going to see the management holes anymore.  Now that’s quite a claim for a £59.99 case.
