BitFenix Pandora Review
Pandora ICON
So far we’ve hinted at the ICON feature that comes with certain models of the Pandora, and if you’ve seen Mark’s feature you’ll already have an idea that the Pandora has a trick up it’s sleeve. In simple terms the Pandora has a stealth mounted 2.4″ LED screen that is able to display full colour images in 240/320 resolution. The screen somes pre loaded with the classic BitFenix logo but is also able to display any image you wish to via the downloadable ICON software (sorry, I refuse to all it an App). Once downloaded and installed all you have to do is drag the image of choice over the ICON…well…erm…icon on your desktop and a few seconds later the image is displayed on your case front. You can use Jpg, PNG or GIF images so there’s a fair few formats to choose from. At first we thought this a bit of a gimmick, but to be honest got totally hooked on it within a few minutes. To illustrate here’s a few of our musings.
This isn’t the BitFenix logo that comes as the default, we’ve designed our ownÂ
Â
Something a bit more OC3D themed
Â
One for the Green team and a blast from the past for the Reds
Â
A case called the G-Dubs, what could be better. and a picture of a bee on some pollen to show that colour reproduction is pretty damn good.
Â
Seriously, any image you like can be displayed. We particularly liked the way the Moon looked
Â
And just in case you’re wondering, yes you can put pictures of nudey ladies up there. Here you see Pandora herself in the nip. If you look really carefully in the image below right you can even see her box (ahem)
