Introduction

One of the biggest surprises of recent times was the reveal of the Playstation 5 in its white form. As a console which started off grey and then was black for three generations to appear white and curvaceous was definitely an unexpected development.

The word behind the scenes must have been a little more widely known than it was publically as SteelSeries have come out of the blocks with a new take upon their outstanding Arctis range of headsets in the form of the all white Arctis 7P. The P naturally standing for Playstation. There is, if you’re more of a fan of the monolothic Xbox Series X, a model designed for the Microsoft console too, but we’re just looking at the Playstation one today. Although the underpinnings are identical so all but the aesthetics are comparable across both platforms.

If you’ve been reading our reviews for any length of time you’ll know we adored the SteelSeries Arctis Pro, a wireless headset that combined comfort with excellent sound quality and wireless strength. The Arctis 7P has the same chassis and speakers so promises to be an excellent headset. However, the easiest way to discover if that is the case is to test it out.
