Seat Base and Armrests
As soon as you free the seat from its plastic confines the glorious smell of leather hits you and the feel of the seat is like no other. It's glorious. We've sat in expensive saloons that had poorer quality stitching and harsher feeling leather than this. There are no creases where the leather hasn't been cut properly. No gaps in the stitching. It's a thing of beauty to behold. Just look at the noblechairs logo in wonderful gold thread. Enough to advertise the brand without being ostentatious, and the accuracy of the logo itself shows the high standards of production used. You certainly don't get this calibre of detail in a chair from Argos.
As well as being a treat for the eyes, the diamond pattern helps give ventilation during those hard hours behind the desk. The quality of the grain on the leather is matched only by the brilliance of the stitching that surrounds it. When you're buying a premium product you want to have that feeling of value for money and so far the seat alone makes us feel this is under-priced.
Even the underside, an area where lesser manufacturers might claw back some production expenses, is a sight to behold. The steel frame gives longevity whilst the high density foam and 'just so' leather covering and embroidery mean that the rest of the chair will survive just as untarnished as the structure.
We also get our first look at the "4D arms" on the nobelchairs Epic. As well as other adjustments we'll look at later on, the arms are height adjustable. Just click the lever and position to your preference. Anyone who has spent long hours working, gaming or just typing knows that you can end up somewhat hunched over if your arms aren't at the right height. With so much travel available then anyone from an Orangutan to a T-Rex will find a position that is comfortable. It's also a good excuse to show the curve of the seating. Enough to ensure comfort without cutting the circulation from the back of your thighs. Experience is a harsh mistress.
It's time to install the first part of the nobelchairs Epic. The height adjusting, tilt lock and adjusting mount for the gas cylinder. Using a dual-washer system combined with high quality hex-bolt screws of a serious length mean that the installation is a painless procedure. The "hockey sticks" we saw at the top of the previous page slide on securely with a mortice and tenor type arrangement ensuring that they only go on one way and wont move during use.
