Creative T50 Wireless Speakers Review
Because the T50 Wireless are a 2.0 set of speakers the box is nice and compact, and indeed lighter than the 'tiny speakers + subwoofer' combination we usually review. The packaging clearly shows how the T50 look as well as clearly labelling all their features.
Creative have included a 3.5mm male-to-male connector - which is more than is included with most speakers - as well as a power lead with plenty of cable so that you can place the T50 at the best position for maximum usability. The piano black finish is beautifully accentuated by the yellow rings around the speaker cones. It's a seriously attractive pair of speakers. Those with small children or inquisitive pets might baulk at the lack of grills, but we usually take them off anyway as we love a naked speaker.
Connectivity and equaliser adjustments are all ready to hand. Only the 3.5mm input is slightly out of the way. Given the movement in modern times towards Bluetooth audio this is less of an issue, emphasised by the placement of the Bluetooth pairing button on the front of the T50. If your phone/TV supports NFC there is a hot spot on top of the right speaker for easy pairing, although the regular "hold down the Bluetooth button for a few seconds" pairing method works flawlessly too.
Although the T50 will stand up of their own volition, Creative have supplied a couple of small feet within the package which not only improves their stability but slightly tilts the speakers upwards to help throw the sound. The tops have decent sized ports in them to assist with producing high quality bass without resorting to utilising a subwoofer.
There is no doubt they look amazing, but how do they sound?
