Corsair HS60 Pro Surround Headset Review

So far our journey through the upgraded Corsair range of headsets has taken us through the very affordable HS35, the HS45 Surround and the upper end Void Elite and Void Elite Wireless models. All of them have seen big improvements compared to their predecessors and a shared design philosophy.
The HS60 Pro Surround is something of an outlier in its design, resembling neither the HS45 design nor the squared off ear pieces that define the Void range. Instead its design will be familiar to many as it looks a lot like a host of other headsets. However, with promised improvements to the comfort and the sound quality and losing none of the famed Corsair build quality there should be much to like. Indeed by utilising the common - unless you're an iPhone user - 3.5mm jack it also has the ability to be connected to almost anything you can think of.
Is it good enough to be worth connecting? Let's find out.
With the upgrades to the Void this is the highest headset in the Corsair range that still utilises the common 20Hz-20kHz frequency response, although it does pair that to 50mm neodymium drivers which should help give a broader sound than smaller offerings. It's available in an all-black aesthetic or the model we have in today with contrasting yellow accents.
