UK based laptop and PC manufacturer Novatech today announced a new line of laptops based on Intel’s Core i7 processors. Dubbed the X70, X80 and X90, the new laptops are high-end systems featuring some of the latest processors and graphics cards.
Targeted at gamers, the laptops feature NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX280M and GTX260M graphics cards that are PhysX ready and also support application acceleration through CUDA. With these new releases, Novatech has become the first laptop manufacturer to offer both the Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA graphics cards in a single laptop.
The X70 and X80 laptops carry Core 2 Duo processors while the X90 boasts of the Core i7 processor. All three laptops come with 4GB DDR3 1,066MHz memory, Wireless and Gigabit LAN, 4 USB2.0 ports, a Blu Ray ROM and DVDRW Multi Burner, and HD surround sound audio.
The company is also offering three 64GB SSD RAID 5 drives in the X90, which has been positioned as a desktop replacement system; the other two systems come with a 500GB SATA hard drive. While the X70 comes with a 15.4in screen, the X80 and X90 variants come with a 17in screen.
Talking about the new systems, Novatech Commercial Director Kriss Pomroy said, “The new cards not only bring the world’s best graphics performance to laptops, but vastly improve the gaming experience with the addition of PhysX and application acceleration with CUDA technology.”
Prices for the laptops start from £1300 inclusive of VAT.
