Gigabyte have just announced their forthcoming Open Overclocking Championship, GO OC 2008, to be held at Taipan in Taiwan, on Thursday, September 25th, 2008. with teams attending from over 23 different countries, the event promises to be one of the largest in the calender to date. Regional qualifying events are currently taking place for places on the Championship, and there are two competition events being held:

In this competition, contestants can use any Intel CPU, with any Gigabyte motherboard and graphics card. They must supply details of hardware they are going to be using prior to the event. The aim of this competition is to see who can break the most world records, as recorded on hwbot.
With a prize ante of $6000 and hardware being given, we are sure the competition will be hard fought from the elite overclockers who will be participating.
