One of the biggest problems with today's mobile phones is the lack of screen real-estate, yes some manufacturers are able to fit high resolutions screens into these portable devices but at the end of the day, the screens used today are simply too small to get a lot done.

One solution to this problem is to create phones with larger screens, though this has its own downsides, as nobody wants to be holding a tablet to their face to answer a phone call and larger phones would quickly stop being pocket-friendly or usable with only a single hand.

ZTE has decided to tackle this problem in a different way, by creating their Axon M, a phone that ships with two screens, allowing the phone to be used in a dual-display configuration while also offering the ability to be folded for single-screen use, allowing the phone to stay pocket-friendly.

This phone measures in at 150.8 x 71.6 x 12.1 and weighs in at a 230g, making this phone thicker and heavier than the average smart device, though this is made up for by the device's dual-screen abilities and the phone's larger than average 3180mAh battery.

The Axon M can be used in four different display modes, which can be configured after pressing the phone's M button. These four modes are as follows.

- Dual Mode: In this mode, both screens are activated and each screen can be used with different apps, increasing your device's productivity, allowing you to playback videos on one screen while you respond to emails on the other.

- Extended Mode: This mode allows both screens to be used as a single 6.45-inch 1920x2160 screen, allowing the device to effectively act like a tablet. Sadly, however, the bezels of both screens will meet in the middle, which will be a distraction in this mode.

- Mirror Mode: This mode allows both screens to display the same content, allowing two people or more people sitting across from each other to view the same content, which can be useful for viewing photos or other media.

- Traditional: One of the device's two screens are turned off, allowing the phone to act as a normal smartphone device.

Right now this phone is using Android version 7.1.2, though ZTE has stated that they are working on an Android 8 update for the device. At this time the pricing and availability of this device are unknown, though it is expected to sit in the more premium side of the smartphone market.
