MSI's VR backpack is now available to Pre-order in the US
MSI's VR backpack is now available to Pre-order in the US with a price starting at $2000 for the GTX 1060 model and $2300 for the GTX 1070 model. This system will contain an i7 6820HK with 16GB of DDR4 memory with two batteries for redundancy and battery hot-swap.
This MSI VR One will release on November 30th in the US and will have removable straps to allow this system to also be used as a desktop system for non-VR gaming.
Now with the announcement of the HTC Vive's TPCAST wireless add-on the VR ready backpack PC may have lost a lot of its thunder, though it is no doubt still the fastest way to play VR without a large tether without adding some additional latency.
