It looks like Samsung are going to release their 850 Evo SSds in M.2 and mSATA form factors, these SSDs will be using Samsung's 3D TLC vNAND which features enhanced durability, reduced power consumption and higher speeds than traditional 2D NAND.

Samsung's recent vNAND SSDs have been praise universally by reviewers for their performance, so hopefully these M.2 and mSATA versions can perform on par with their 2.5" SATA counterpart. With the M.2 version performance not being throttled by the SATA 3.0 interface, it may actually perform better than the desktop counterpart, then again things like controller logic and other variables come into play here and not just the Data bus.

Sizes and pricing are yet to be confirmed for either of these products as neither have been officially announced.
