EK officially releases their EK-M.2 series of M.2 SSD coolers

A lot of modern M.2 SSDs can get hot under load, especially when they are not exposed to much airflow and are placed under sustained loads with heavy memory reads and writes. This has led several manufacturers to create M.2 SSD cooling solution, with EK now coming into the mix with their EK-M.2 series of SSD coolers.

EK has officially released their new M.2 series of coolers, which are designed to easily latch onto single-sided M.2 SSDs to provide increased cooling capabilities and offer load temperatures that are up to 11 degrees lower.

These new SSD coolers will come in both black and Nickel variants, with prices of €9.96 and €12.94 respectively. These two SSD coolers will be available from EK’s web store and select partner retailers.

The EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink is compatible with all single sided type 2280 M.2 NVMe SSDs (22mm wide, 80mm long).  Because the heatsink consists of a front and backplate as well, the compatibility is limited to M.2 (NGFF) connectors of 4.2mm height.
