Windows 10 is already more popular than any Linux or Mac OS on Steam
Windows 10 has already proven itself to be popular, but most didn't expect it to achieve such wide adoption within the first few days after it's launch.
In Steam's July 2015 hardware survey Valve listed Windows 10 64-bit as being on 2.21% of it's users PCs, with 2.3% in total using Windows 10. This is more than any single release of Mac OS or all versions of Linux combined, which is very impressive for an OS which was only 2 days old at the time of the survey.
With such wide adoption within the first few days of release it will be very interesting to see how these results change within the next month. There is no doubt that the numbers of Windows 10 users will rise, but is it capable of closing the gap between itself and Windows 8.1?
