Wild West Online – 13 minutes of gameplay

PC Gamer has released a new gameplay video which showcases Wild West Online’s current Alpha build, which contains a large open world which isn’t exactly filled with content yet.

In time this game will be filled with more NPCs, wildlife and other players, especially when the game enters its beta period later this year. Towns will also contain plenty of mini games, like Poker and other similar activities. These areas will act as hubs for social activity, with steeper penalties for player killing and other criminal activity within these regions.

Wild West Online will allow both first person and 3rd person play, with the ability to play as a single character across several online servers, lacking classes to allow players to progress within the game however they please.

The game itself will be based in the late 1800s/early 1900s, though the game will not be focusing on historical accuracy, instead focusing on gameplay and as such will not reference any human history.

612 Studios has released the following preliminary PC system requirements for the game, though these will likely change as the game is developed.

PC System Requirements

OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-2400 | AMD FX-6100, or better
MEMORY: 6 GB RAM
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GTX 460 2 GB VRAM |
AMD Radeon HD 7770 2 GB VRAM, or better
DIRECTX: Version 11
STORAGE: 12 GB available space
