Ubisoft to reveal their next Ghost Recon game on May 9th

Will this be a new game, or an expansion.

Ubisoft to reveal their next Ghost Recon game on May 9th

Ubisoft has started to tease what could be their next Ghost Recon title, announcing that a "world premiere" will take place on May 9th at 11:30 AM PDT, which translates to 7:30 PM BST.

The use if the term "World Premiere" suggests that Ubisoft's Ghost Recon announcement will not be the reveal expansion content for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, as content updates for Wildlands have never received teases like this in the past. This suggests that Ubisoft is working on a new entry into their Ghost Recon series, either in the form of Wildlands 2 or a new spin-off series. Hopefully, we will receive something that is more akin to older entries in the Ghost Recon franchise.

Pre-E3 reveals are extremely common within today's gaming climate, acting as hype builders for the main event by giving gamers a taste of what to expect. Ubisoft's E3 2019 press conference will take place on June 10th, one month after Ubisoft's Ghost Recon reveal.

I played quite a bit of Wildlands as well. I wasn't too crazy about it though. It was decent. But if they want to improve on the concept, by all means. I'm in.Quote
