Ubisoft Releases The Division 2 Story Trailer and Preps Private Beta

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is set to release on March 15th, moving the game to Washington D.C., the capital city of the United States of America. Seven months have passed since the series’ deadly virus was released in New York City, spreading across the world, while leaving the US on the brink of collapse.

Players assume the role of agents of The Division, civilian sleeper agents who are activated during national emergencies as the nation’s last line of defence. These agents will work on their own, or as teams to prevent the game’s world from falling into further chaos. Missions within The Division 2 can be played solo or in co-op.

Today, Ubisoft has released a new story trailer for The Division 2, showcasing some of the factions that players will face throughout the game, ranging from scavengers to religious outcasts, fascist elements and an unknown, militarised faction.

During this trailer, Ubisoft also confirmed that The Division 2 will have a “private beta” on February 7th, the same day as AMD’s Radeon VII launches, which will be open to everyone who pre-orders the game. The private beta will be open between February 7th and February 10th.
