Nvidia has confirmed that they are partnering with Ubisoft to implement DXR-based ray tracing into Watch Dogs: Legion, extending their prior Watch Dog series hardware partnerships on PC, which covered both of the series' previous entries.

With planned support for DXR Ray Tracing, Ubisoft has unofficially confirmed that Watch Dogs: Legion will support Microsoft's DirectX 12 API on PC, though at this time the company has not confirmed how they plan to utilise ray tracing within the game.

Below is a comment from Nvidia's Chis Early, the company's head of Geforce marketing.

Ubisoft goes to painstaking lengths to recreate the cities featured in their games, and ray tracing will add a whole depth to the new look and feel of the London-based Watch Dogs: Legion. NVIDIA’s history of helping with Watch Dogs goes back to the beginning of the franchise, and we are ready to wow PC gamers once again with ray tracing in Watch Dogs: Legion.

Nvidia has already confirmed that they will be partnering with CD Projekt Red to add RTX support to Cyberpunk 2077, which is set to release in April 2020, one month after Watch Dogs: Legion.
