Ubisoft outs high PC system requirements for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Today, Ubisoft has shown the industry exactly how PC system requirements should be announced, releasing clear resolution and framerate targets alongside a set of clear hardware recommendations.

On PC, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be best played with SSD storage, enabling quicker loading times, faster fast travels and a gameplay experience that's better than playing the game of a mechanical hard did drive (HDD). There's a reason why "SSD Recommended" is listed within Valhalla's minimum system requirements.

Should your system feature dual-channel memory, what framerate/setting should I target with my hardware, and what do I need to play the game at a straight 1080p or 1440p 60 FPS framerate. Ubisoft has answered these questions and more. Other PC developers could learn from this, as system requirements for many developers are just hardware recommendations with little to no context.

On PC, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will feature an unlocked framerate, user-definable framerate limits, resolution scaling options, a built-in benchmarking utility, support for ultrawide and multi-monitor screen configurations and over 120 graphics options for PC gamers to tinker with.

Below are Assassin's Creed Valhalla's full PC system requirements, offering 60 FPS options for 1080p and 1440p resolutions. For 4K 60, games will need to use lower settings than the game's Ultra recommendations and will likely require a higher-end graphics card.

My bet is that they will release 4K 60 requirements when AMD reveals its RX 6000 series. It is an AMD branded game after all.Quote

In fairness both the 2080 and 5700XT are not 4k cards, so if this does run at a min 30 FPS on either it will be decent.Quote
