October is finally here, and that means that Twitch will be giving away a collection of free games to Twitch Prime subscribers, hoping to bring more gamers into the company’s gaming ecosystem.

Right now, Twitch’s games platform remains widely unused by the PC gaming masses, but as more games are added to the service, Twitch is proving that they can take on the likes of Steam, Origin and UPlay. To help accelerate this process, Twitch is giving away free games every month to their Prime subscribers, with this month’s collection sitting on the spookier side, in honour of Halloween.

To kick things off, Twitch is giving prime subscribers access to Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, a remaster of the Apocalypse-theme Zelda-like Darksiders, as well as SOMA, a sci-fi horror game from the developer behind Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Sanitarium, a point and click horror game and System Shock, a classic first-person horror game.

Twitch Prime is available as a free add-on for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Italy and Spain. The service includes access to free games every month, free in-game loot, a channel subscription every 30 days and the other benefits of being an Amazon Prime member.
