The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen is coming, and it will make the game look even better

Halk Hogan’s making The Witcher 3 Next-Gen version look ever better

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project is a must-have mod for The Witcher 3, enhancing many of the game’s textures and assets to make the game look better than ever. This mod was so popular that CD Projekt Red made it an official part of The Witcher 3’s current-gen update for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but Halk Hogan, the modder behind the project isn’t finished.

With his new White Orchard video for this “The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition” mod update, Half Hogan has confirmed that they plan to release an update for their mod in Q2 2023, and that their mod will be compatible with both the next-gen and last-generation PC versions of The Witcher 3.

The video below compares the PC version of The Witcher 3 (Which now includes HD Reworked Project version 12.0) with Halk Hogan’s “Next Gen Edition” mod, showcasing huge improvements to asset quality. This mod will have a huge impact on gamers who have access to high resolution screens, as the full detail of these new assets are seen at high display resolutions. That said, some of the improvements are so large that 1080p players will also notice visual improvements.

The Witcher 3’s Next-Gen update did not spell an end for The Witcher 3’s HD Enhanced Project, it has only set a new baseline for Halk Hogan to surpass. Expect more videos to be released showcasing The Witcher 3’s HD Reworked Project Next-Gen Edition before its release in Q2 2023.
