Many Resident Evil 4 fans will already know about the game's unofficial "HD Project", which adds some huge visual improvements to the game by giving the world HD textures, additional shadows and more complex 3D models.

This mod is essentially giving the Resident Evil 4 the HD remaster treatment, maintaining the game's original gameplay and aesthetic while giving the game graphics a significant boost in quality.

So far two HD mission packs have been released for the game, the first of which is for the "Village" section of the game and the second is for the "Castle" section of the game.

These new texture packs will require Resident Evil 4 players to use the game's 4GB Patch tool, which will allow the game to use larger amounts of virtual memory and prevent the game from crashing when using this high-resolution texture pack.

Above is a new trailer that showcases exactly how this new texture pack improves the visual quality of Resident Evil 4, with the mods developers planning to release an "Island" texture and model pack in order to improve all remaining sections of Resident Evil 4.

I really want to get into Resi 4 but only have my old copy on PS2 and i'd like to play with better textures.

Can someone walk me through how I go about getting this mod up and running, please?Quote
