SteamWorld Dig has become the newest game to become free on Origin through EA’s “On The House” program on PC. This will allow PC gamers to access a permanent free copy of the game for a limited time, offering a 100% reduction on the game’s usual price of £6.99. 
 
This offer is likely due to the release of SteamWorld Dig 2 later this month, which will see the game release on Windows PC, Mac, Linux, Nintendo Switch and Sony’s PS4 and Vita consoles. The game will release on September 21st on Nintendo Switch and on other platforms shortly after. 
 
 

SteamWorld Dig is a platform mining adventure with strong Metroidvanian influences. Take the role of Rusty, a lone mining steambot, as he arrives at an old mining town in great need. Dig your way through the old earth, gaining riches while uncovering the ancient threat that lurks below…
