Steam's taking a note from Epic's handbook with their Summer Sale

Steam's offers PC gamers some great offers during their latest Summer Sale

Valve' Steam Summer Sale has started, and this time Valve has taken a note out of the Epic Games handbook, offering PC gamers a £5 discount on purchases of £30 or over alongside their existing offers.

In addition to this offer, Valve is also offering PC gamers Steam points, a permanent system which will allow PC gamers to collect animated stickers, chat emotes, profile backgrounds and more.

Steam's Summer Sale will last until July 9th, and right now there are some brilliant offers available. Right now, Borderlands 3 is available with 50% off, Stellaris and its DLC packs are shipping with steep discounts, DOOM Eternal is available for £24.99, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey is currently available for £16.49.

This is nothing new and has no relation to the Epic store. Last summer sale you got 10€ off when buying for 50€ and the year before you got 5€ for 25€ (Lunar sale). So this deal is (excluding inflation) worse than before (now its 5€ for 30€). You really would expect Valve to be more aggressive in its counter, but so far they are lacking.Quote

It seems like my mind is playing tricks on me. I honestly have no memory of these offers. How bizarre.

The article has been edited to accurately detail the facts. It really goes to show that your memory can't be trusted.Quote

Too be fair Steam has so many sales and it was only in a few of them. Also most of those rebates were one use only, but I could swear the one during the lunar sale was repeatable. Tho I could be off by the numbers since its a while ago.Quote

This had to be the summer before? This offer was not last summer for sure. I need to find the screenshots I took, because I made some and sent to my brother of things on offer last year.

This deal was no where to be seen.Quote
