Star Wars: Squadrons leaks via the Microsoft Store

Promotional materials for a new Star Wars game have appeared on the Microsoft Store, revealing a new game called Star Wars: Squadrons, a game which seems to be based around Imperial and Rebellion Pilots.

This artwork as spotted on the Microsoft Store and later posted on Resetera, where many suspect that the game is EA Motive’s “Project Maverick”. The artwork prominently presents many ships from the navies of the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance, such as X-Wings, Y-Wings, A-Wings and a selection of Tie Fighters.

Star Wars: Squadrons is expected to be EA Motive’s first full game, and this game will likely be revealed at Electronic Art’s EA Play event on June 19th. This may be a new Star Wars starfighter combat game, similar to classics such as the X-Wing and Tie Fighter series’.

Right now, nothing has been confirmed about Star Wars Squadrons, though gamers should expect to hear more about the game in the near future.
