Square Enix reveals Marvel's Avengers

At the company's E3 Press Conference, Square Enix has revealed Marvel's Avengers, a new game which will allow gamers to assume the role of one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in an adventure which is unrelated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The game takes place 5 years after A-Day, an event which Avengers tech was used to ravage the city of San Francisco. Since then, the Avengers have disbanded and have been considered outlaws. Now, it's time for the Avengers to reassemble, with Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America and The Hulk being available to play.

Marvel's Avengers will be playable in both single-player and co-op modes, enabling gamers to play in teams of up to four heroes, with new characters and regions being set to release for the game post-launch for free to players. Square Enix has promised that the game will include no loot boxes or pay-to-win elements.

Marvel's Avengers is being developed by Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind the recent Tomb Raider reboot series. The game is set to release on May 15th, 2020 and release on PC, Xbox One PlayStation 4 and Stadia. PlayStation players will receive early beta access for the game and other "unique benefits".

Below is Marvel's Avengers "A-Day" trailer;

  Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

If they used Robert D Junior real face on this game, they would be hammered with lawsuits. So its either pay a large amount of money to use it with his permission, or do like teh Chinese and create close "knock off" versions Quote
