Sony's Predator: Hunting Grounds is coming to PS4 and PC next year

Sony has announced that Predator: Hunting Grounds will release on both PlayStation 4 and PC in 2020, with Sony Interactive Entertainment acting as the game's PC publisher.

Before now, Sony's Predator was thought to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but now we know that the game will release on PC through the Epic Games Store. So far, the game has not been revealed for other PC gaming storefronts.

This marks what could be a new PC era for Sony, where the company forgoes full platform exclusivity for the sake of increased game sales. Rumour has it that Sony has PC release plans for other Sony console exclusives, with insiders suggesting that Horizon Zero Dawn will soon be announced on PC

Predator: Hunting ground is an asynchronous multiplayer experience, where a team of four players control a squad of soldiers while another player controls a Predator. Predators will get to select specific pieces of armour and equipment, giving players several unique playstyles which will help keep opponents on their toes.

At the time of writing, Predator: Hunting Grounds has been announced for Windows-powered PC and has a £31.99 price tag on the Epic Games Store. PC system requirements for the game will be revealed closer to the game's launch.

Oh yay more multiplayer death match garbage.

I love Predator and have been a fan ever since I saw P1 when I was around 10, Fell in love immediately, Played AvP 1+2 to death, AvP Extinction, Predator Concrete Jungle, Later the newer AvP game and more recently the Predator mission in Ghost Recon Wildlands, But developers keep missing fantastic chances at making a great Predator game.

My dream Predator game -

  • Extremely large open world consisting of all types of terrain, Concrete jungle, Dense rainforest etc...
  • Ability to have a home base ship, Ability to decorate it with trophies and weapons.
  • Upgrade weapons and armour, Research new items, Ship upgrades.
  • The ability to call your ship from anywhere in the world, Have it come in cloaked and physically have to run up to it to board it, No cut scenes or loading screens, Seamless interaction.
  • Ability to pilot your ship manually, Whether this is swooping or hovering over cities or flying high into the stratosphere.
  • Fully traversable cities, Climb up buildings, Enter extensive subway tunnels etc...
  • Gymnastic movements when in places like the rain forest just like in the first Predator movie.
  • All sounds from the movies i.e cloak, Thermal vision, Roar, Clicking etc...
  • Use Unreal Engine 4 for best possible graphics, Volumetric clouds, Physically based renderer etc... with the possibility to add ray tracing elements down the line for things like the Predator cloak effect.
  • Fully customisable Predator character, Everything from the various Predator clans, To weapons, Facial features, Body type etc...
  • Co-op play, The ability to invite other Predator players into your world, Form clans and take on hunts together.
  • Optional 1st and 3rd person.
  • No PvP.

Just a few ideas for my dream game, I have so many more, I know it will never happen though.Quote

Would love to but I'm not in the position at the moment to start going to school to learn to code, Then comes the problem of licensing issues.Quote

I'd like your game dice. Fan since the original film came out as well. I'd like a game with the gore turned up to downright disturbing and kill all sorts of entities from humans to extraterrestrials for display trophies.Quote
