Sony reveals a long list of PlayStation 5 exclusives

At their “The Future of Gaming” event, Sony revealed a tonne of exclusive games, most of which were from first-party studios. Here, we’ve compiled a list of trailers from the event of the games that will ONLY release on PlayStation 5, at least initially.

These games have set the bar for what to expect from next-generation consoles, showcasing spectacular visuals and high-resolution playback. Some games, such as Deathloop, Project Athia and Chostwire: Tokyo will be PlayStation Console Exclusives, which means that these games will also release on PC.

Starting off Sony’s PlayStation 5 exclusives reveals we have Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which will be the next Spider-Man title from Insomniac Games. Right now, the game is due to release in Holiday 2020 as a likely PlayStation 5 launch title.

Next up, we have Gran Turismo 7, which is due to be released in 2021 on PlayStation 5. Based on the game’s trailer, it looks like the game will feature a campaign mode and some spectacular visuals.

Insomniac Games didn’t just reveal Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the studio also revealed a new Ratchet and Clank game called Rift Apart. The game appears to be based around the return or Dr Nafarious and dimensional rifts which are appearing across the universe.

No release date for this game has been confirmed.

Returnal combines action with roguelike gameplay into a third-person shooter where players fight to survive a hostile planet that changes with every death. Players can switch instinctively between firing modes by using a single adaptive trigger and can get right back into the action after dying.

PS5’s immersive 3D audio brings the alien world to life around the player, helping players navigate the intense positional combat. Coming to PlayStation 5.

Little Big Planet’s Sackboy is returning to PlayStation with “Sackboy A Big Adventure”, a new platformer which appears to offer gamers both singleplayer and co-operative gameplay.

While Horizon: Zero Dawn may be coming to PC, there is no guarantee that its sequel will be doing the same. Horizon: Forbidden West is a new title from Guerilla Games which continue the story of Zero Dawn into the next generation of Sony consoles, offering gamers spectacular visuals and a wider variety of locations.

At this time, Horizon Forbidden West has no firm release timeframe.

Before Dark Souls there was Demon Souls, and Sony has hired Bluepoint games to recreate this PlayStation 3 classic on their latest console. Expect recreated gameplay, stunning visuals and a lot of difficult boss fights. Demon Souls has no PS5 release date.
