Ryze: Son of Rome is available for free on Game Sessions

AMD is allowing PC gamers to receive a free copy of Ryse: Son of Rome for free on GameSessions

For the next 30 days, Ryse: Son of Rome will be available to buy for free on a service called GameSessions, requiring gamers to merely download and play the game for 5 minutes to redeem their free copy. This process will ensure that no free copies of the game are given to people who will not use them.

GameSessions is a UK-based company that sells PC gamers, but unlike other retailers they allow gamers to download and play trial versions of every game on their storefront, giving users time to assess each title's performance and gameplay before paying for it.

This free promotion is the first of GameSessions' new "Giveaways" service, where the company plans to regularly give away games with the help of 3rd party sponsors. This giveaway was sponsored by AMD, making Ryse a very appropriate title given the release of their new Ryzen series CPUs.

We’re extremely excited about our new service, GameSessions Giveaways, which offers gamers fantastic PC titles, absolutely free. Through trying out our GameSessions technology even more gamers will find out how easy it is to use our services and explore the hundreds of free trials of other games available now at GameSessions.com.

We will provide a succession of great games via GameSessions Giveaways completely free to everyone. The games provided can be even better thanks to the support of our brand partners who help us acquire the best possible content. In return, the sponsor will get the chance to show a brief pre-roll video and infrequent in-game overlays to highlight what they can offer gamers. So, we get to show users GameSessions, the brand-partner gets to show what they can do for gamers, and gamers get great games completely free.

This was one of those games where I wasn't quite sure if I wanted it or not during the sale. Guess it was good to hold off!Quote

Not the bad game that everyone makes it out to be. Not worth the full price of a game, but its got a decent 5 hour story and some enjoyable mechanics that last about that long. For even a few quid, it will provide decent entertainment for a couple evenings. Apparently there's multiplayer but I never touched it, so it may be dead.

So yeah, it's definitely worth the 0.00 price tag Quote

Pretty cool idea. So little games offer demos. It's just a case of buy it then return it but you have next to no time to play and you feel rushed.

Looking at there site they seem to have a pretty decent collection of games. I just think the only thing holding them back would be new AAA games because publishers may fear a "demo version" of the game.Quote
