Rumour has it that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will soon be announced for PC and PS5

Rumour has it that Square Enix plans to announce Final Fantasy 7 Remake's PC and PS5 versions simultaneously and that both versions will be announced soon.

It is well known that Final Fantasy 7 Remake's PS4 exclusivity will end in April 2021, one year after the game's initial release. This end of PS4 exclusivity will allow Square Enix to release the game on more platforms, allowing the game to be updated for next-generation systems with enhanced visuals and support for higher resolutions/framerates.

This information comes through KatharsisT, a well-known leaker on Resetera, who has stated that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be coming to PC and PlayStation 5 this year. No mention was made of Xbox One or Xbox Series consoles.

At this time, it is unknown how Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be updated for next-generation consoles and PC, whether it be a simple upgrade to the game's framerate, resolution and texture detail, or a broader set of upgrades that will include details like Ray Tracing.

I really enjoyed this game was a very happy experience, so i guess buying it again on PC is fine so long as something is different settings wise, I do doubt we'll get ray tracing thou but it's possible.Quote

I doubt that DLSS would be needed tbh it's not a demanding game imho.

Personally being on the red team these days DLSS doesn't even seem needed for me, all the games i play run fine at 1440p even BFV maxxed out gives me more than enough fps.

The only more demanding games I've ran are Metro Exodus and Watch dogs legion but as single player games the fps is fine, thou as much as I want to play more cyberpunk i'm waiting on DXR for it before I continue on with that.

Starting assassins creed valhalla later on, ran the bench and it's fine 90fps Quote
