Rocket League's going free to play on September 23rd

On September 23rd, Rocket League will become a free-to-play title, launching with an in-game event called Llama-Rama. This event will take place on all platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch. Existing owners of Rocket League will gain access to "Legacy Status" items, which will arrive in the inventories of existing players with tomorrow's game update.

On PC, Rocket League will no longer be available on Steam, as the title has moved into the Epic Games Store. Rocket League owners on Steam will still be able to enjoy the game there, but new game purchases will not be possible.

Those who add Rocket League to their Epic Games Store libraries between September 23rd and October 23rd will receive a $10 Epic Games Store coupon, which will be usable on all purchases that are worth $14.99 or more. This offer is designed to transition existing Rocket League owners onto the Epic Games Store and to encourage more PC gamers to download and play Rocket League during this time.

More information about Rocket League becoming free to play is available on the Rocket League website
