Riot Games Reveals Project A - The FPS from the devs of League of Legends

Riot Games has announced that they are working on a new first-person shooter game that's currently known as Project A. Project A will be based outside of Riot's League of Legends Universe, offering players a unique cast of characters. Project A also aims to provide PC gamers a different take on the tactical shooter experience.

Imagine Overwatch with a Counter-Strike twist. That's what Project A looks like right now. Each character will offer player unique abilities, but precision actions and fast reactions times will define Project A's combat.

One of the areas that Riot Games is focusing on is strong networking performance and the elimination of "peakers advantage", with hopes of creating a cheater-free gaming experience and an ideal environment for competitive play.

Graphically, Project A deliver simplistic visuals, though that should be expected from an in-development FPS. Project A's graphics are expected to improve over time, though the game is expected to keep a simplistic visual style to help encourage high-framerate play.

Riot doesn't plan to go into much more detail on Project A until 2020; when the game will be in a much more completed state.
