Resonance of Fate 4K/HD is coming to PC and PS4

tri-Ace has announced that Resonance of Fate will be re-released on PC and PS4 under the name “Resonance of Fate 4K/HD” improving the game’s visuals for use with modern gaming platforms.

Previously, Resonance of Fate was exclusive to last-generation console platforms, the PS3 and Xbox 360, making the 4K/HD re-release the first time the title has ever released on the PC platform. Right now this re-release is set to launch on October 18th for 3,700 yen (roughly £25), no Western pricing has been announced at this time.

The combat within Resonance of Fate uses the game’s “tri-Attack Battle system” which offers a mixture of real-time and turn-based control, with player utilising a variety of firearms and other weapons to take down their foes.

When the game initially released, the title received mostly positive reviews and currently has an 8.0 user score on Metacritic, making the game a prime candidate for an HD re-release. At this time it is unknown whether or not the game’s planned PC version will be in any way limited by its console origins.

The trailer below runs at 4K 60FPS, suggesting that the game will not be locked to a low 30FPS framerate, which is a positive start for the re-release.

Resonance of Fate is set to release on PC, via Steam, and PS4 on October 18th. The Steam page for the game is not active at this time, leaving the PC version’s graphical features and PC system requirements as unknowns.
