Q.U.B.E.2 and Layers of Fear are currently free on PC

For the next seven days, Q.U.B.E.2 and Layers of Fear will be available for free on PC, with Q.U.B.E.2 being available on Windows while Layers of Fear will be available on Windows and macOS.

Both games are available for free via the Epic Games Store, which is allowing PC gamers to access free games every week for all of 2019. So far this offer has included both recently released and classic PC titles.

Q.U.B.E.2 is a first-person puzzle game which is somewhat reminiscent of Portal 2. Instead of thinking with Portals, Q.U.B.E players need to think with blocks, solving over 80 puzzles in the base game to complete it. Players assume the role of a stranded archaeologist called Amelia Cross, who must solve the mysteries of her surroundings in order to return home.
Layers of Fear is a first-person horror game which focuses on exploration and story elements. The game tells the story of a printer's daughter who must return to her childhood home to face her past. If you need a horror game to play this Halloween, this could be it.

Next week, after this free offer ends, SOMA and Costume Quest will be available for free on the Epic Games Store.
