PC-Specific Trailer released for COD: Modern Warfare – Preload Dates Revealed

Activision has released a PC-specific trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, highlighting many of the game’s PC features while showcasing crisp 4K footage of the title.

On PC, Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare is developed in collaboration with Beenox, who have given the PC version of the game a long list of unique graphics options, which include unlocked framerates, FOV adjustment, Ultra-wide and Multi-Monitor support and advanced control options for both gamepad and keyboard/mouse users.

Modern Warfare will also support raytracing using Microsoft’s DXR API, offering players raytraced shadows in specific game modes. This will give the game more realistic lighting, especially in nighttime scenes. When compared to older Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare contains a large number of graphical and engine overhauls, bringing to the table advanced photogrammetry, world volumetric lighting, a new tile-based streaming system and a new GPU geometry pipeline.

The trailer below showcases Modern Warfare footage at 4K 60FPS. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s full PC system requirements can be viewed here.

The PC version of Modern Warfare will release exclusively on Blizzard’s Battle.net service on October 25th. The PC version of the game will become available to pre-load on October 22nd at 10 PM PDT.
