Panzer Dragoon: Remake appears on Steam with System Requirements

Panzer Dragoon’s upcoming Remake has appeared on Steam, complete with PC system requirements and a planned release date of “This Winter”, placing the game’s release within the same timeframe as the game’s console versions.

The game will recreate the Panzer Dragoon with modernised visuals. The game will be a from the ground up recreation of the original, similar to the recent remakes of the original Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon games. The video below showcases the game’s upcoming Nintendo Switch version. Before today, Panzer Dragoon’s remake wasn’t announced for PC.

A new, remade version of the Panzer Dragoon game – true to the original, with improved graphics and controls, that suit modern gaming standards! On a far, lone planet, you encounter two dragons awaken from the ancient times.

Armed with a deadly gun from the past, and the guidance of your armored blue dragon, you must fulfill your destiny and keep the Prototype Dragon from reaching the Tower or die trying.

Strangely, Panzer Dragoon’s remake features system requirements that seem overkill for a PC game that’s also releasing on Nintendo Switch. For context, Nvidia’s GTX 970 and AMD’s R9 290 are closer to Sony’s PS4 Pro in terms of GPU horsepower than they are to anything Nintendo produces. These system requirements may change before launch, but for now, all we can say is that they appear to be overkill for Panzer Dragoon’s Remake.

MINIMUM:

OS: Windows 10
Processor: Intel i5
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 (equivalent or better)
DirectX: Version 10
Storage: 8 GB available space
Sound Card: Integrated
