Octopath Traveler's PC system requirements have been revealed

Last month Square Enix officially confirmed that Octopath Traveler is coming to PC, launching exclusively on Steam for £49.99 on June 7th. Now, Square Enix has revealed the game's PC system requirements, confirming that the "HD-2D" RPG will support both 60FPS framerates on the platform. 

Strangely, Octopath Traveler's PC system requirements state that the title can run at a 4K resolution with the right hardware, the game's PC system requirements state that the game doesn't officially support such a high resolution. At this time it is unknown what is meant by this. 

GPU-wise Octopath Traveler requires at least 2GB of VRAM on PC and is designed to run on graphics cards as low-end as AMD's R7 260X or Nvidia's GTX 750. The game uses Microsoft's DirectX 11 API to operate. 

Storage-wise Octopath Traveler takes up around 5GB of storage space and memory-wise 4GB of system memory is required and 6GB is recommended. The game's PC system requirements confirm that the game features graphics presets, with "LOW" and "Very High" being explicitly mentioned.

Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Sound Card

Additional Notes: Expected Framerate: 60 FPS @ 1920x1080 / Graphics preset: “Very High”. Depending on the monitor and PC graphics card environment and setup used, this title can expand its display resolution to 4K. However, please be aware that 4K resolutions are not officially supported
