Nvidia's latest HotFix driver fixes issues with G-Sync, Fortnite RTX and Divinity: Original Sin 2

Nvidia has just launched its Geforce 456.71 driver, addressing several bugs within the company's Geforce 456.55 driver. Nvidia's Geforce 456.55 driver offered RTX 30 series users increased stability within a wide variety of gaming workloads, making it an essential driver for RTX 30 series users.

With Nvidia's Geforce 456.71 HotFix driver, Nvidia addressed a bug which triggered black screen issues on Adaptive-Sync (G-Sync Compatible) monitors, crashed in Fortnite when Ray Traced Shadows and Reflections are enabled. This driver also addresses framerate issues in Divinity: Original Sin when Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling is used.

Below are the release notes for Nvidia's Geforce 456.71 Hotfix driver.

The hotfix addresses the following issues:

  • - Launching a game in full screen mode may trigger a black screen on adaptive sync monitors if G-SYNC is enabled
  • - [Fortnite] Game may experience crash when using in-game RTX Shadows/Reflection
  • - [Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition] Enabling Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling results in lower frame rate

So you are getting a black screen randomly too? I have that issue since swapping to the G7 monitor. Very annoying.Quote
