Nvidia reveals its Geforce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition GPU

Nvidia has officially revealed its RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition graphics card, and you can't buy it. Now, it's not because of the RTX 2080 Ti's already high price tag; Nvidia's giving these graphics cards away, 77 to be exact.

Last year, Nvidia announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would feature RTX graphical effects in the form of real-time raytracing, making Nvidia's RTX 2080 Ti graphics card an ideal pairing for the upcoming RPG.

These custom RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards will feature a customised aluminium shroud with Cyberpunk 2077's signature yellow styling and the same components as Nvidia's RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition. This graphics card is perfect for Cyberpunk 2077 collectors or PC gamers who want the best graphics card available right now.

Nvidia is making 200 of these graphics card, and 77 of them are already available as part of a giveaway on Nvidia's Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. Follow Nvidia's rules and you have a chance of winning. Nvidia also plans to give more of these graphics cards away during future events, and sell them as part of charity auctions.

More information about Nvidia's giveaways are available here

What I did not anticipate was it not being for sale.

However, there could be a few reasons for that. Like for example this would have taken a while to do, and may have been arranged before the game was cancelled (well, delayed). Who will want to pay for a GPU with a game splattered all over it that isn't even out yet?

Of all of the RTX cards this one would have sold the least.Quote

It annoys me how you must have social media to enter stuff. Very inconsiderate.Quote
