The Bearded Ladies (yes, that is the developer’s name) have officially announced the PC system requirements for Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, the video game adaptation of the pen and paper RPG.Â
Think of the game this way, a story-driven action-stealth RPG with combat that is reminiscent of XCOM, merging real-time tactical elements which can quickly devolve into turn-based combat as things heat up. Permadeath is active within this game, so keeping your combatants alive will be the key to unlocking certain story elements.Â
The game is based in a world where extreme climate change, an economic crisis and later nuclear war have ravaged the world, humans are extinct, and mutants now roam the landscape, be it deformed humanoids or mutated animals. This is why some lovingly call this game “Duck XCOM”.Â
Players are tasked with finding the legendary Eden, a haven that sits at the centre of a dark world. Here players will find answers, or perhaps more questions.  Â

   All of you have been asking about the game’s system requirements on PC and today we’re ready to reveal what the requirements will be! They shouldn’t be too heavy for modern PCs, but maybe now’s the time to look into updating your hardware if you need to.Â
This game is designed to run on most modern systems, requiring a quad-core system, 6GB of RAM and a minimum of a GTX 580 or a Radeon HD 7870. The game will operate using the DirectX 11 API and require 8GB of system storage. At this time the settings and performance target of these requirements are unknown.Â
