A new Platinum difficulty and a new race?

Mass Effect Andromeda's Andromeda's latest teaser trailer showcases a new race

A Multiplayer Only Race, or a teaser for another upcoming DLC?

Over the past week, the internet has been rife with rumours that all single-player DLC for Mass Effect Andromeda has been cancelled. Today things look a little less clear as Bioware announce their upcoming Platinum difficulty for Mass Effect Andromeda's Multiplayer, revealing a race that has never been seen or mentioned in Andromeda before.

This race is the Batarians, a Milky Way race that was not on any of the known Arks that were bound for Andromeda. This race is not seen in the game's single-player story, giving it no real lore-based reason for being in the game's multiplayer.

Some say that the developers are simply using a new Batarian model from a cut single-player DLC (Who is wearing Kett fusion armour), though the question is why would Bioware use it if all upcoming Single Player content has been cut. After all, why tease a race that will never make it into what is primarily a story-driven experience.

If no Single-player DLC is planned, this is a huge punch in the gut for fans of the series, proving that Batarian-based story content could have come to the game and adding a new human-style enemy type to the multiplayer, which is by no means a worthy consolation.

At this time Bioware has not confirmed or denied reports that Mass Effect Andromeda's single-player DLC has been cancelled, though the game will be receiving a new patch in the near future.

Finished it last night and left me like "Okay...". It never really got there, where it could have been. It didn't have the same effect on me as 1-3 did.Quote

I think a big part of this wasn't just the dev mess ups but the fact that they did hire a lot of people who are ultra super SJW's who generally weren't M.E fans, For example, One of the main devs who frequented Twitter was a mega SJW and extremely outspoken against white people, Literally every tweet was "lol white people tears make me happy" and it wasn't in a jokey "haha" type way, The guy was serious.

The fact that Bioware let one of their main devs behave this way says a lot about how this company has sunk.Quote
