A leaked Destiny 2 poster has revealed a release date of September 8th, with many reports from both Kotaku and Eurogamer that there will be an official game announcement later today.  
 
This poster was reportedly shown at a GameStop in Italy, first appearing on the Italian website Lega Network. Previous rumours have stated that Destiny 2 will be a multi-platform release on PC, Xbox One and PS4, featuring a new engine and upgraded visuals.

The game will be developed on a new engine and is designed to make use of modern hardware, dropping support for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will take place after "The Taken King" in the Destiny timeline and is rumoured to be called Destiny II: Forge of Hope.

I hope this does come to PC, I played a bit on the XB1 but the 30FPS was a deal breaker for me.Quote
