Halo: The Master Chief Collections received its PC price tag

Pre-orders for the PC release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection have just gone live on Steam, revealing the price tag Microsoft's Halo collection, both individually and as a set.

Halo Reach is due to release on PC on December 3rd, arriving on Steam for £6.99 in the UK and $9.99 in the US. The full Master Chief Collection, which includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Reach and Halo 4, will cost £29.99 in the UK and $39.99 in the US on Steam. Each game will also be available for free to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

At the time of writing, all other Halo games in the Master Chief collection are incorrectly priced at £29.99 on Steam, the same price as the full Master Chief Collection. This mistake will likely be fixed soon.

Below are the features that Microsoft claims that the PC version of Halo Reach will offer.

Game Features:

- PC Settings/Optimizations: Halo: Reach is now optimized for PC and looking better than ever at up to 4k UHD and at least 60 FPS.** Other PC native settings include mouse and keyboard support, ultrawide support, adaptive sync support, FOV customization, and more.

- Campaign: Experience the first chapter in the Halo Saga and fight your way as Noble Six through 11 unforgettable missions

- Multiplayer: Start your Spartan Career today with Halo: Reach’s iconic multiplayer featuring an overhauled progression system, generation-defining player customization, over 20 unforgettable maps, as well as classic game modes such as Firefight and Invasion. While Forge and Theater will be delivered later in 2020, enjoy access to millions of community-created maps and game types that have been migrated over from Halo: Reach on Xbox 360 for use today on PC.

- Firefight: Fight alone or with squadmates to survive against endless waves of enemies deploying with ever-increasing difficulty.

£30 for the lot is an insane price considering the effort that's gone into it.Quote

Yeah you can't argue with £30 for all those games.
Has there been any confirmation of split screen? That would be so awesome.Quote

I assume they'll look fairly decent?
I remember putting a Halo 2 disk from the original XBox, into the XBox 2 (360?) a few years ago and it looked blocky as hell. Maybe it was because older games didn't play well with the newer console, or maybe the resolution was just terrible.. I'm sure it it wouldn't be too difficult to add some AA and custom resolutions..Quote
