Halo 5: Forge's latest PC update adds a custom game browser

As part of yesterday's Halo 5: Forge update the PC version has gained a server browser, the ability to join games in progress and the ability to use supersampling for increased graphical fidelity.
Sadly an FOV slider has not been added to the game in this new update, though developers have confirmed that this is a planned feature that will be implemented in a future patch.
This game update has also added 5K resolution support as well as a fullscreen toggle option to the game's graphical options menu as well as a new Minigame Game variant.
One of the biggest problems with Halo 5: Forge on PC was that the game lacked a custom game browser, preventing potential PC players from battling against strangers or organising large matches. Custom games were limited by how many players you could gather onto your friends list, making it difficult for most players to set up large matches.

While this update did not bring matchmaking to the PC version of Halo 5: Forge, it does the next best thing by allowing gamers to join existing matches, finally allowing a dedicated Halo 5 PC community to flourish.

Above and below are some screenshots which showcase the game's custom game browser, as well as options to search for a custom game that meets your personal requirements.

We know getting a full fireteam together to run customs isn’t always easy, and while Looking For Group is great for appointment gaming, sometimes you just want to jump in and discover something new. The new Custom Games Browser enables you to search for in-progress games from the main menu. Games you can join are based on their privacy settings when they are created in the lobby.

We’ve also updated the Content Browser so that if you find a map or mode that you like, you’ll be able to browse for in-progress custom games from that file’s options.

This Custom Games Browser is something the team has wanted to add for a long time for the community, but we needed the Content Browser and the search engine that powers it up and running first. Thanks for being patient, and we hope you enjoy it whether you’re running Duck Hunt 24/7, or just looking for new friends to slay!
