Half-Life: Alyx modders are recreating Goldeneye in VR

Half-Life: Alyx is already a great VR game, but it's also a great platform for VR modding, having already received mods which bring new weapons into the game, new challenge maps end even a Jedi Lightsaber training course.

Now, a modder called Eagle One is bringing the Nintendo 64 classic Goodeneye into the world of VR by recreating the maps of the classic shooter using the assets of Half-Life Alyx.

So far, Goldeneye's Dam and Facility levels are available within Half-Life Alyx through the game's Steam workshop page. Right now, characters use Half-Life: Alex' standard character models, though this could change over time as the mod is developed further.

Right now, the game's DAM map is available in two parts, with part three coming sometime this month. In time, the entirety of Goldeneye could be playable within Half-Life: Alex, giving PC gamers a new way to enjoy the classic N64 shooter.

Jump into the role of Alyx Bond and take on the classic N64 Goldeneye map DAM in this VR REMASTER! Experience a nostalgic breakthrough in re-telling a classic through sandbox mechanics that give players a unique combat experience as they are guided through a story crafted to help Alyx accomplish each objective. The dynamic AI that has been crafted, as well as players choice of approach through each objective, gives you the freedom to play a unique style that will keep you coming back for more!

The mod comes with the original soundtrack, however some computers may have issues playing it in the engine. Please use the following link for the OST of DAM that will loop during your playthrough
